Hoodie Flower Tutorial

Here is a simple tutorial to add some cuteness to a little girls plain hoodie.

What you Need!

Scrap piece of cotton material not much, and scrap piece of jersey material.

First cut two leafy shape pieces out of your cotton fabric

Out of the jersey material cut 3 pieces similar to this.

Next make a rosette shape out of the long scalloped piece.

To fasten together sew in an out of the sides of the flower.

Next lay your lay your leafy pieces on the hood of your hoodie where you would like the flower to go and stich up the middle of each leaf.

Next add the round flower shapes (don't need to sew these on yet)

Now add your rosette type piece on and sew through the middle.

There ya go!

(Like this tut or not let me know its my first one)

Simple Pillowcase Dress tutorial

Here is a tutorial for a very simple pillowcase dress tutorial in PDF.

Here are pictures of ones I have done

This first one is using an actual pillowcase and the two after are using regular fabric

My Addiction to Ruffles

I thought I would blog about my Addiction to ruffles problem. I was going through another blog for another great tutorial and came across ruffle fabric and have been addicted to it ever since.

Aren't these ruffles just Devine  :)
( As Fancy Nancy would say these books are as much fun to read as they are to listen too)

I can't help but think I may be addicted to ruffles having laid out all the ruffles I have or eagerly expecting.

My Craftiness Attempts

Here is an attempt of my own creations by getting some of the basic ideas from different blogs.

Felt Flowers

Felt Bow Tie (my own creation) I am sure there are felt bow ties out there, this one I did not use a tutorial for.

Ruffle bum onsie again not from a tutorial all tho I am pretty sure there are some out there.

This is my own peek-a-boo skirt I have actually looked for one like this and haven't found one (yet).

Butterfly Dress

This is the butterfly dress found at sewingin-nomansland she has such a fantastic collection of tutorials that are cute. (of course I didn't do it justice)

My second attempt

To Do List

This is my to do list, a list of tutorials that I want to try.. (I am thinking this is going to be a long list, as there are so many great tutorials out there)

I really want to try and make something for my son, since I spend most of my time making stuff for my girls. This is a pair of shorts made out of an old dress shirt, from Saltwater Kids.

The Beginning

I must say I am amazed at all the crafty wonderful things that are out there in blogland. The amazing crafts, tutorials and just great personal stories of other stay at home moms. This will hopefully be my "Quest" to bring people some amazing tutorials in one place and show my twist on a few.
